I think that if a gay or lesbian couple wants to adopt a child, and they are both mature, responsible and loving people...then by all means, why shouldn't they ? Lots of gay couples are adopting or having babies and they are probably going to turn out to be some of the best human beings on this earth. They may have a tough time or two...with all of the criticism and such from ignorant people, but hopefully they will be okay because more than likely...those children are going to have so much love in their lives because when couples adopt...it usually means they really, really want kids and can provide a nice life for them. So, I think it's a very good thing. Look at all of the kids out there that need a home ! And look at how many of them from the usual male/female couples...turn out so dysfunctional, beyond belief. So, I don't see how anyone can say this could be a wrong thing.

I suppose it'd depend on the people. There's good people who're gay, and schmucks who're gay. If the alternative is for the kid to be raised as a ward of the state, I don't think anyone could say it'd be better than putting the kid with a gay couple. Though, I've no personal knowledge about the issue, I've heard the "pro's" in the social sciences say there'd be no inherent disadvantages. A loving family will usually produce a healthy person. The most likely disadvantages being from those who abuse and ridicule those in that situation.

I believe the family should be made up of a man a woman and their chlidren. So I believe that being gay is wrong. But if it came down to that kid living on the street or living wit a gay family I'd rather see them in a home where they will be loved and taken care of. But at the same time it could have a bad effect on that child. so i dont know it depends

I think that it is a pretty good option for all parties involved. The gay people can have experiences with parenting and a child can find a home. There are still many homeless children out there at the moment and it is better to mitigate that problem that to be against it because of some bias.

It doesn't matter, as long as the children are adopted by individuals that will make good parents, with excellent parenting skills.

It's more important that the children have a warm, loving, nuturing environment, where they will be productive and prosperous in our society.

They need a home where they feel safe and loved.

IT DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM:

1. From humanitarian point of view: It is right because you can help kids grow and be a part of the society.

2. From the Bible's point of view: It is wrong because Homosexuality is an abomination to God and it is therefore not advisable and even healthy to model this to younger generation.

I believe that all people should have the same rights in adopting a child. If they are suitable parents and have no criminal history they should be given the right to the joy of parenthood.

i hate to say it..i dont mind gay people..my uncle is gay...but i dont agree with them adopting kids..i'm sorry..kids have enough of a rough time growing up and their bodies and life and learning ..and confusions.
