firstly install OS with 10 GB as primary partition and leave the left extended patition untouched. After installation of os(in case windos xp) goto control panel>administrative tools>computer management>Disk management...and then create logical partitions following the steps....

1)Right click on extended partition Shown.
2)Then Click on New logical Drive.
3)Select partition type(Extende,primary,Logical).
4)Put the size of Partition as needed by you.
5)Select drive letter(Recommende:-leave it default).
6)Select format of file system(NTFS,FAT).

and click on next.
the drive will be created.

make 3 partition and first partition should not more than 10 gb

install ur win xp to 10 gb partition

Run startup.exe at:

http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......

Can't live without it and windows...

Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.
