NO THERE ISN'T, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THAT. IT HAS BEEN PHYSICALLY PROVEN. THE SEX OF THE BABY ALL DEPENDS ON WHICH SPERM (X OR Y) GETS TO THE EGG FASTER.
GOOD LUCK.
AND IF YOU ARE PLANNING A BABY, CONGRATULATIONS!

Naturally, I've heard good things about the O +12 method. I think you can easily do a search on it. I think it works fairly well, but it isn't 100% effective. Non-naturally there are various things you can do. However, many doctors won't go through the procedure unless you have a spectacular reason for needing one sex more than another. Your insurance company probably won't cover it either. If you are doing this just because you want a boy or girl, then you should look up costs and know the entire procedure now. If it's due to a genetic condition carried on through one sex or the other, still look up on the procedure, but also talk to your insurance company to see if this will count as medically necessary. Some insurance companies claim that it's an option to have a child, and thus it's not necessary. But if it's a casual wanting of a boy or girl, definately look into the O +12 method.

It's a difficult question to answer and there will definetely be as many opinions as there are people on the planet.
I'm not quite sure if this possible, but according to certain sites and books you can find in the stores, you can do that only if the woman will consume certain types of foods that can affect the baby's gender. For example: eating meats helps the body to develop a baby boy.
If you'd like you can research it further and see what works for both you and your partner. Here are couple of websites you can visit for a little bit more information on this subject (or, if you'd like you can go and type in the search window "preselection of baby's sex" and it'll give you any additional information you might be looking for):

Some of the many websites have a pay-for-service plans. Use care and find all the information that will answer all of the questions that you and your partner can have, before you'll do anything rash.
I hope it answered couple of your questions that you had :)
Take care and good luck :)

No. The only method with any scientific validity is the Shettles method (see sources section below), and it will not let you choose the sex of your baby--only increase the likelihood of getting which one you want. Since the method is only 75-90% effective, you should not use it unless you will be *thrilled* to have a baby of either gender. For best results, read the book, not just the Web site.

Not sure if this is true but i saw on the health network that if trying for a specific gender that this my work.. Scientifically the girl sperm tend to swim faster than the male sperm.... so if trying for a boy they said if you have sex a few days prior to ovulation then the girl sperm will get to the fallopian tubes quickly and die but by the time the male sperm get to the fallopian tube it should be just the right time of ovulation and only male sperm will be there... on the other hand if tryin for a girl then have sex the day of ovulation that way when she ovulates then the female sperm will be farthest up to fertilize the egg... Not too sure if its true but ya never know.... makes sense if the fact that female sperm swim faster than the male sperm is correct..... give it a try it will cost u less than goin to the doc let us know if it worked!!!

Yes there is. I actually just read an article about this the other day. There is a clinic in California that people go to from all over the world just to have this done. It is a very expensive ($19,000) and a very long and involved process that includes shots and therapies. This would require major consideration and isn't something that should be taken lightly.

Clincs can give you a more reassuring rate rather then at home but there a few ways that are adverised/believed to help...Go to this site enter info and click trying for girl/boy it will help. You can always check out chinease gender charts...It goes by the mothers age at conception and the month she conceives....Ive checked everyone born the last few years that I know and we all came out the gender that the charts says!!!! Try it with people you know see how accurate it is

Some say yes and others say no....But the theory is that XY (male) sperm swims faster and die quicker so if you are tyring for a boy you should wait to have sex closer to ovulation so the fast sperm can get to the egg before they die...And the opposite is supposed to be true for XX (female) sperm. If you want to see a website that uses this go to www.conceptionstore.com and click on ovulation calendar..it will as some info and then ask what sex you are trying to concieve and then it will show a calendar of what days to have sex on and what days not to have sex on....

i'm not sure whether there's anything to it, but i've heard about a procedure where they take a sperm sample and spin it around until centrifugal forces seperate the (larger) female cells from the (smaller) male sperm cells, then implant the selected gender cells into the mother.
like i said though, i dont know for sure... it might have just been a bogus story

Belive it or not - there is an ancient lore passed down in our family that the sex of the baby is determined by who comes first (during the intercourse which conceived that child)... when the male comes first, a female is conceived, and vice versa. belive it if you will - i am not sure i do - but it worked with my two kids.....
