does anybody know how to use your TI-89 to calculate taylor series? I know where to find it in the caculus menu, but I dont know the correct format to enter into my calculator.

Should look something like this:

Taylor(function(variable), variable, number of terms in expansion).

for example:

cos(x) for the first 5 terms:

Taylor(cos(x),x,5)=1-x^2/2+ x^4/24
