He missed the record of being first indian to score a century before lunch in first inning of any test match and also misses azharuddin's 74 balls 100 runs record in test match by indian batsman.

he missed century before lunch on the very first day by only 1 run. No Indian has ever scored a century before lunch in any Test. Sehwag was not out on 99 at lunch in the 1st innings on the 1st day of the 2nd test between West Indies & India.
