I was ALWAYS tired and never able to sleep. The tiredness was more body fatigue - espscially in the beggining, until my body got used to the hormone overdrive. sleeping was not an option - i suffered from terrible nausea, tights muscles, tingling in my thighs, back pain - you name it! Make sure you rest enough in day, but not too late in the day. dont watch tv or use the computer for an hour before you go to bed - the images stimulate the brain. try establish a sleep routine, have the room made dark and cool, make sure you are comfy. if you find it hard to sleep - get out of bed, walk around a bit and then go back to bed - that has always helped me and i am a chronicly bad sleeper.....

When I was pregnant the first trimester was a blur because 85% of it was spent sleeping. I was so dead tired and I could barely function. I was 6 1/2 wks pregnant when I found out I was expecting and it was a huge sigh of relief. Up until then I had no reason to explain the tiredness and I seriously thought I had come down with mono or some other disease. The sleeplessness didn't come until later for me. Your hormones are to blame though. For the same reason some women are dead tired others are wired and can't sleep. The body is flooded with those fun pregnancy hormones and for countless months ahead your body will not be your own.

It's different for every woman, no woman is exactly the same with what she goes through. I did get very tired for the first 3-4 weeks but now feel fine. My morning sickness has also passed as well. But i have known many women who have had it for much longer.

Dont worry about it, there is nothing to fear. If u cant sleep try drinking a warm cup of milk and cocoa before bed. Warm milk stimulates sleep hormones to work.

Good Luck

ive always had sleeping problems. All the way up to the end of my pregnancy, i couldnt sleep, mainly due to morning sickness, but by the end of my pregnancy, i was constantly tierd. I was so sore, and tossed and turned all night, that during the day, if I sat down, I would end up falling asleep. LOL, i remember the last month always falling asleep on the couch around 6pm, and it had to be the couch because it was the only place in the house that i could find a comfortable place to lay.

good luck!
