I have a portable printer that prints pics from an SD card. I saved the photos I wanted onto the SD card but when I put the card into my printer they don't show up anywhere.
The SD card reader is on my laptop. I'm able to save the pics off my computer to the card but they won't show up on the printer or when I put the card back into the camera the pics that weren't taken with the camera won't show up (it says card error on those specific pics) The printer has a SD card slot and the pics on the card that were taken with the camera show up fine it is only the pics that I got through an e-mail that I saved to the SD card that won't show up. The printer is a HP Photosmart 375. What is wrong or what else can I do?

the extensions are probably the culprit check and see what your printer can read probably JPEG, and a lot of pics on the net are BMP, just convert them all to what your printer can read, you can do this on a photo suite program which you probably have may have come with camera or printer.

Good Morning! It sounds like the problem most likely is in the program you are using to transfer the pictures from the computer to the SD card. With the card docked into the laptop, are you able to see the pics that you saved there from the email? If not, chances are they weren't transferred. Do you have another program that can transfer pics? If not, try re-installing that program...it might have a glitch.

If you are able to see the pics on the SD card from the laptop, then it might be the format mismatch mentioned above. If you have photo editing software, try converting those pics to whatever format your other pics are saved in (probably jpg).

Good Luck!

Generaly a carmera wont pick up on pictures that are saved to a card from the computer, you need to just save emailed pictures to the computer and print them fom the computer rather than from the camera. at least that is what my Canon manuel says.

Make sure that the extension of the new pics are correct, eg BMP or JPG. Check the working pics for the correct extension, and convert/rename your new pics to that extension.
