When a Mormon is on a mission how do they hold back on having an encounter with a girl? I mean Don't Elders share the same rooms and how do they hide if they want to masterbate if the get horney. I mean that is aweful having to have a partner with them constantly. Gosh do they go to the toilet together? Do they even have to share the same bed! Terrible rules!

They have to be with their companion all of the time, except if they have to go to the restroom or things like that. So anything they need to take care of, they can have their privacy. Mission rules forbid that missionaries be left alone with someone of the opposite sex. If a missionary is caught, or confesses to being intimate with a woman on his mission, he can be sent home, or in very serious cases, be excomunicated from the church. The rules are strict, but they are there to protect the missionary, and to keep them focused on serving the lord for those two years, not themselves.

Well, when a missionary is on his mission, his mind should only be set on serving the Lord...not his own desires--which is why he's discouraged about having a girlfriend. No, I don't believe they share the same bed or have to go to the toilet together....they have time for themselves. They don't have to "hold back on having an encounter with a girl" either. It's getting emotionally and/or romantically involved with girls that's wrong until they're finished serving their missions. if you want to know about missionary life try watching "Gods Army"
serving a mission is not easy that's why only about 30 percent of young men in the church end up serving one or are worthy to serve one. It's only for 2 years not life and having no TV and Reading the scriptures most of the day probably helps you not be in the mood if you know what I mean....

If the missionaries want an encounter with a girl, they sneak around to get that.
They hide masturbation from each other when they get horney and give each other time along --especially in the bathroom. And they don't ask each other these kinds of snoopy questions!
