FIFA WORLD CUP =
Brazil has won five times (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002), Germany three times (1954, 1974, 1990),
Italy three times (1934, 1938, 1982) and
Argentina twice (1978, 1986).
Uruguay has two titles, too (1930, 1950) but didn't qualify for the tournament in Germany.
England (1966) and France (1998) have each won once.

As well as those listed, Australia has won the Cricket World Cup more than once (1987, 1999 and 2003), the Rugby Union World Cup twice (1991 and 1999). The West Indies have won the cricket world cup twice (1975 and 1979)... I 'm sure there are many other answers depending on how you define "World Cup"
