I am trying to help some of you heartbroken folks out in this world, because some of you are not getting the big picture that it takes two to make a baby. No name calling, this is probably what has caused the breakup or the other person to look eslewhere. We know that the child needs money that is a necessity to survive, but if you are making it without the child support don't cause the other parent any misfortune. Life as it's way of moving people into positions to where compromises do take place. We are putting our children in the way of issues that they should never be concerned about, some of them are barely passing their state issued exams. Custodial parents get the EIC and the convience of medicaid for the children or child, and the state includes the parent with the child. Yet the states are requiring the non- custodial parents to provide health insurance. We all know that health insurance is expensive. Child support should help solve problems yet it is creating them.

First of all, you ONLY get EIC if you are under a certain income limit. If you are over it, you don't get it. :)

Secondly, why should the non-custodial parent not have to contribute financially?

It makes no difference if the custodial parent can support the child without support. However, there is a matter of principle here.
If you bring a child into this world, you have a moral duty to protect and provide for that child. If you choose so not to protect it, then you should at least provide, or assist in providing.

Let me ask you, are you a single parent that does not receive support from the other parent?

If people can sue a total stranger for having a fender bender, why on earth is it such an issue to sue the other parent for support.

You're right. It does take two to make a baby and the non-custodial parent is responsible for the upbringing of their children.

The problems you mentioned are caused not by child support laws, but by a lack of commitment in marriage and sexually active relationships. Be a man and take responsibility for your children.

Child support makes a basic assumption that its all about the money. And in some cases its true. Money is the answer. In other cases it isn't.

I've known women that spend child support money on drugs and or booze. I've known some that spend it on partytime, and boyfriends. Then I've known some that spend every pennie and then some on the kids.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Yes I agree. I have my daughter. I don't expect nothing from her mom money wise. I don't get money from her either. Our daughter expects her mothers love. My baby's mom does what she can. If more people put their child first it be easier. But no dads/mom do the opposite

No! People cause strife. The children's lifestyle shouldn't suffer because the adults can't get along. Peace.
