Being in a relationship, should you get married just because you (woman point of view) or because your girlfriend (male point of view) is pregnant.

No. For some reason, people tend to think that just because the woman gets pregnant the couple should get married. That isn't going to make the relationship better and staying together for a child doesn't make things better either.
Having a child is difficult enough as it is, so rushing to get married or doing that just because a baby is now on the way is not going to make things better.
I think it's a dumb decision to make. It's 2006, not 1920
A man can still take care of his responsibilities without marrying the woman.

No, you shouldn't, not if neither of you are ready for marriage, the baby will have 2 parents regardless, and when the baby is born, as long as the father is there to sign the birth certificate, the baby will be ligitimate, but do not get married just because of a baby, you don't have to be married to raise the child together. Don't make the same mistake I did, I married the father of my baby when I was 15 years old, and I was divorced by the time I hit 18, then when I was 20, I got pregnant again, that time, I didn't listen to anyone, and we married when we were ready, not when everyone else was ready for us to be married, we got married when I was 22 when our 2nd daughter was 6 months old. Only marry when you both are ready, don't listen to anyone else but yourselves. You two have to decide what's best for you and your little family, tell everyone else to butt out.

Sex is an activity that is BEST practiced by people AFTER they are MARRIED. Sex is supposed to be an expression of TOTAL committment for a husband or a wife toward his or her mate. It is not to be used as "proof of love", a game, a rite of passage into adulthood, or as a cheap thrill to elevate one's ego. If you have been abusing sex, and it sounds like you have, you need to STOP, get some personal counseling and begin some legal proceedings to get CHILD SUPPORT for the offspring you have created. Every child deserves to have a mother's and a father's support in life. Marriage was invented to preserve decent and orderly family living in civilized society. Most people today do not learn this until it is too late, unfortunalely. Best wishes.

well from my own experience with my wife and from seeing what my sister has gone through i believe that it is not a necessity to get married if there is going to be a baby, but i do believe that if you are going to be a father then you should own up to your responsibilities and take care of the child that you fathered, there is no sense in getting married if the marriage is based on the baby, because a marriage should be based on love and trust and without that there can be no marriage and that would make you miserable.

That is not the right reason to marry at all.... Love should be the reason and comittment and if children or pregnancy is involved then that is okay too.... It is a packaged deal and get married for the kids sake only is not the right reason at all!

I'm sick of people who jumped into bed with anything and as a result the baby came along and than they wonder wheather to may with the person they slept with. hmm. fornication? std. and so forth. sex is so casual now a day, it's like buying candy. if you don't like it throw it out and if you like suck it??? someone was saying the man should do his part, and use protection???? How about the female, she knows what she's getting herself into???? She didn't think about the consequences for herself too??? Idiot!!! Don't get me started. Both men and women now a day are rampant with casual sex. They jumped into bed before they even know the name of whom they slept with.

If you were already planning to get married, then i see no reason not to bring the wedding forward. HOWEVER, don't get married just because you're pregnant. You'll regret it.

The subject of marriage should have somehow popped up before you decided to have unprotected sex with someone whom you have not made a serious comitment to.
