Your immune system protects you from illness. If you were not exposed to disease and germs you would not get ill. Keep away from all other humans, and you would not pick up their germs. Some exposure to germs is good, as it lets your immune system build up tolerance for some illnesses.

Some people get sick easily, others don't, and it's all out of our control. What you can do is wash your hands with soapy water a number of times each day. Never pick your nose or rub your eyes unless you wash your hands first (germs enter through those orifices easily). Don't breathe air someone has sneezed into or coughed into, who has a cold.

Some people get ill due to allergies and polluted air, or polluted water, or spoiled food. Avoid those things, and that will help.
