I AM CURRENTLY PREGNANT WITH MY THIRD CHILD. MY OTHER CHILDREN ARE 2 AND 4. I HAVENT LOST ANY WEIGHT SINCE MY LAST PREGNANCY. I AM GETTING BIGGER FASTER THAN WHAT I SHOULD BE. I EAT RIGHT AND EVEN WALK OCCASIONALLY. I AM WORRIED THAT I MIGHT GET GD! MY DOCTOR HASN'T SPOKEN OF IT TO ME. SO SHOULD I BE CONCERNED OR NOT? CAN ANYONE TELL ME A GREAT WEBSITE THAT TALKS ABOUT GD?

Don't worry! It is not unusual to get bigger sooner with subsequent pregnancies. The muscles are already stretched and relaxed due to the prior pregnancies.

Also, don't worry about gestational diabetes. If your ob notices an increase in the glucose (sugar) in your urine, he will order a blood glucose level. Don't worry, he will be on top of it and will handle the situation if it arises.

Don't worry, gestational diabetes is only temperary. After you have your third child, it'll go away. If it doesn't, check with your gyno.
