Go buy the book: "What to Expect When You're Expecting" it's super-helpful. These are my other suggestions: Take folic acid and a pre-natal vitamin everyday, drink meal shakes daily (even with meals!), lots of green leafy vegetables, protein, and fruit. Also, remember the calcium (and Dairy Queen's sundaes count because they're made from ice milk... Yay!) Good luck and Congrats!

A healthy diet, under your doctor's supervision. You need to increase calories, but you should make that extra food good stuff, and not just junk.
Sometimes it's hard to do when you're pregnant, because some women get really sensitive to food smells. What worked for me then was eating cold food, like sandwiches and fresh fruit.

Eat a variety of healthy foods. Colorful vegetables and fruits are full of vitamins and fiber. Choose iron-rich foods as anemia is often a problem for pregnant women. Eat an extra serving of protein rich food each day. Take a prenatal vitamin.

You can eat whatever you want within reason....just because you are eating for two, doesn't mean you can eat two full course meals!!
Eat healthy, listen to your bodies signals and get some daily exercise and you should be just fine!
Congrats and bon apetite!
