The avatars are a joke! Most of them look nothing like the poster, anyway.

Absolutely not! I don't believe you should pretend to be anything you're not! One's avatar should look as much like the actual person answering or asking the question as possible. It's only right! Take me for example. This skull I'm holding really does tell me all the answers to give, and what to ask.
Sometimes this skull can be a real dumbass. That was actually me saying that, and he just yelled at me for it.
I'm not pretending to be anybody! I'm a goddamn alien! A red blooded Tralfamadorian! If you don't love Tralfamadore, you can just get back in your spaceship and fly the hell out!

I think that the avatars are a bad idea anyway, This site is about questions and answers not what you look like, I would hope that people judged me on my words not on the colour or sex of an avatar. But if you are going to make one then make it how you want to be or what you think looks good.

are you the avatar police? i did no longer understand that the avatars would desire to look comparable to the guy....if so, i'm no longer Indian yet i'm sorry for deceptive human beings into thinking i'm a redhead and that i don't have long hair and by no potential placed on it in that coiffure, i don't have eco-friendly eyes, and my pores and skin is extra easy/olive than in my avatar........there is not any longer an avatar visual allure that seems comparable to mine so i desperate to make one that I felt like... this is a stupid project...human beings can %. regardless of image they choose or come across with the main (their project no longer yours).

I have a yes and no to this question...
Yes because it is nice to know if the person is black or white or whatever other colours there are out there. And no because it doesn't really make a difference in the answering of a question or vise versa.
