My friend used to be my teacher. She always treated me with much respect and she stood beside me whenever I needed it most. She understands me better than anyone else I know. Over time our friendship grew more and more. I told her that I loved and cared about her.She did the same for me.On my graduation from 8th grade ,she was the only one to give me a gift. I have given her things when I had the money to do so. Now it is to the oint where all I do is think about her & everything she has done for me. She talks to me like I'm an adult and she trust me with a lot of things. What should I do about my feelings and why do I feel this way? How should I tell her how I feel?

Sometimes when someone we respect shows us respect in return, it can be an overwhelmingly positive feeling, especially when there aren't many other people in our lives doing that. It is good, it is the beginning of friendship - a good solid basis for friendship.

Friendship can happen between all sorts of people, not matter what their age or background and it can be a very positive thing.

Sometimes, however, with people we admire, it is easy for friendship to turn into something else, for us to develop a crush on that person. That is not always for the best, nor is it always appropriate.

In my opinion, you should go ahead and express your friendship for your former teacher. You know that that is solid and you can continue to develop that friendship over the years. If, however, you feel more for her than that, it might be best to keep that to yourself for now. If you do express it, she may feel like she needs to withdraw her friendship. And it sounds to me like you value that friendship too much to lose it.

That's just my 2 cents.

You really need to think about your feelings for this person and their feelings for you. Your adult friend might just be trying to be there for you as an ex-teacher or adult. If it's anything more than that then it's very wrong. This person is an adult and you are a child - if it's anything romantic it's illegal. You need to realize that the feelings you have shouldn't be returned by this person.
You need to get rid of the feelings you have and if you are having trouble talk to someone about whats going on. Pursuing a relationship with an adult when you are a child could get the adult put in jail.

A good answer would depend on the age of yourself. If you are still in school, then it's a bad situation. You could be putting her into danger... which you've already basically done, since you've been like this with her since before the 8th grade. Are you willing to cost her her job and possible sentence her to jail? Hopefully the answer is no. It's hard to love someone, but not be able to do anything about it, and in this case, that is what you need to do.

In what way do you love her? If you are going to have a lesbian relationship you and she are putting her career on the line, a teacher should not be having or encouraging a sexual relationship with a student.

You are in a vulnerable place don't let material things cloud your judgement. Talk to a relative about your situation.
