You will never be financially ready for a child...the more money you have, the more money you'll spend. My babys father left while i was pregnant, i was forced to file bankruptcy, but still managed to pull some things together before my daughter arrived. We do just fine living with the small amount of money I saved. I'm not saying everything is coming up roses, but it's really not as difficult as some people think. Also remember that once your baby arrives, you can't imagine life without them.

A baby is not a pet, it's a person. It's not like a puppy that you can leave with a friend while you go do your thing. A baby is a huge responsibility which requires total sacrifice by you. A good parent must sacrifice their wants and desires for what is best for the baby. If you are not willing to give your entire life for the good of another, then do not have a baby. There are no vacations or breaks from being a good parent. It is difficult and demanding and the most gratifying job you will ever have, but it will always be YOUR job.

If financial problems are the issue, do all you can to improve your financial picture as quickly as possible. Pay off the bills and save money. You can always be a working mom as many women are...or, if you can afford it when the time comes, work part-time.
Babies are very expensive so it is usually best to wait until you feel financially able to handle the expenses, in other words, financially stable. This does not mean financially ready as very few people are ever financially ready but, in the end, it always works out. Good luck!

well obviously if people waited until they were finacially stable the populaton would probabyl be less. is this a bad thing?? yes.. why bring a child ino the world that you can't provide for.
do you need to be rich?? No, kids need basic things..food, cltoehs and all that happy stuff. what they really need is a loving, happy, supportive home. also, if you are constnatly stressed about money it's going to be hell to focus on the good things.
if you are saying to yourself for one reason or another you ca't have a kdi right now..then listen to that..cuz there is probably something to that.

Go ahead and have a baby if you want one. Waiting on this reason or that could cause you to never had a baby. I know someone who did that and by the time she thought she was ready she couldn't have kids............It's a big hurt for her too.
I say get started now!

Wait until you are financially ready for a child. A child is not easy to take care and they are expensive though. I know that cause I have helped raise my niece and she is only 6 years old now. From the age of 1 until now I can guess we paid over $100 in shoes for her. They have their tricks and you will catch on to them quickly. I did, but my sister didn't. She went from throwing her shoes in the garbage bag to crying in the store for new clothing. It isn't easy as it looks take my advise.
