is there any way i can trace this person on the net??

thers this guy who keeps on textin me all the time, wen i try 2 call him up he hangs the call, wen i text him he tells me bout himself but i think he is lying about his identity... so is there any way i can find out who dis guy is... i hav his cell no. so can i find who he is thru the internet??

The Ash person above has a point.. but not in such a rude way. Just block the call, but let me let you in on how a guy like this probably works.
I am what most call a "computer nerd" and i have a lot of "computer nerd" friends. All of them (including me) are used to typing out a message, and then sending. They're just not comfortable with real talking, and usually don't talk much.
I'm guessing this guy knows his stuff, and yes there are certain spyware programs out there to trace him, but they're usualy easily detected by a firewall such as zonealarm. Besides that you could have him visit a website and use JavaScript to view his history to see were he's been going, and from there see if he entered any personal information.
You could also set up a PHP (Php: Hypertext Processer) that can track his ip address which then you can run thru whois-database to get a street address or contact his ISP asking for an address.
If he's not a computer nerd then he's just to weak to say anything or playing a joke. Just tell him to either tell him who he is or he can shove a (something that will hurt) up his A$$, and you'll just block his number.
If you need any help with the JavaScript, or the PHP IP tracker just ask [e-mail] and i'll work a small trap for him.

God, you just sound too dimwitted to even have a cell phone. Your parents should take your phone away from you. Block the call, jesus.. here is another idea, dont call back, dont pick up numbers you dont know. God.. ARE YOU REALLY THIS DUMB?

Ok two things.

1. Specifying a person should use ZoneAlarm, hell you mise well just tell that person to open all their ports and say everyone welcome to my pc, infect it. There is a reason ZoneAlarm is free, cuz its a horrible program. Its like BlackIce, both are crap.

2. Stating you are a computer nerd and then going on about JavaScript and PHP, and tracing and all this computer language is hilarious. This girl can just barely type in understandable english. You think she has ANY clue what JavaScript is? Hell ask her if she knows how many spark plugs are in her car, and next maybe how many GHZ are in her PC, or How many KB are in MB? haha... this is just too funny..
