If you want to use one of the cartoon 'avatars' then It's a two step process
1) Create your avatar
Go to your Answers profile page http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit
In the 'Picture' section, click on "Edit My Avatar"
That takes you to the Avatars site where you can create your avatar
2) Display your avatar on Answers
Back on your Answers profile page, http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit
In the Picture section, select "Use My Yahoo Avatar"
It can take up to a couple of days for your Avatar to appear as a selection on your Answers profile page.

first click on your nickname and it should take you to a page where it shows info about u, there should be something that says "edit my info" click that then it takes u to another page, somewhere there it gives u option to choose your avatar as your picture

using a permanent pen, such as a 'sharpie' , you proceed to color in a face on your computer screen

Well.You first sign out then you sign in again and choose the Question you want to answer and then use my avatar!!! Then that'done then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
