Bonjour is a service (DNS over IP), and iChat is an application. iChat is an instant messaging application, and you use your .mac, AIM, or Jabber account to talk to people online through the internet. Bonjour (which was known as Rendezvous in previous versions) allows you to talk to people over an internal intranet. If you are on LAN, you can talk to other Apple users on Bonjour without having to adding them to your friends list, because they appear automatically. Making a network of people without knowing who they are may seem pointless unless you are in business situation with a network built around Macs, or in school situations where you can make new friends that already share a common interest....mac computers. I've personally never had the opportuinity to see Bonjour in action, but I am hoping to have that opportunity this summer as my school in installing a wireless network for students.
