Rosemary's Baby. (1968) A wonderfully creepy old school horror movie. I think it was Roman Pulanski's best work. It is not a gory movie, but very tense and suspenseful. Every sound, door creak, footstep left me on edge. There is a pretty intense rape scene, just to warn you. The lullaby that is sung at the beginning is truely creepy and sets the stage for this masterpiece. The whole movie just made me think and feel creepy things. Somehow the whole scare part is done in a very subtle way. Left me breathless the first time I saw it. If they ever try and remake this movie I think I will boycott new horror films for the rest of my life.

There's been some really good ones, old and new.
the most recent one to really scare the pants off me was "The Hills Have Eyes" I'd say that's probably one of the scariest movies I've ever seen in my whole life!!
The Exorcist was another of my favourites, although the sequels were real let-downs.
House on Haunted hill was good, as was Thirteen Ghosts, but not what you'd call terrifying.
The Ring, however, WAS terrifying! The Japanese version though, not the hollywood crap.

Exorcist, Alien - wanna see real horror? Have you ever seen
Requiem for a Dream? - the 1st time you see it, it's a killer.

The same actress that plays the Mom in the Exorcist is the
Mom in Requiem - Ellen Burnstyn - I don't have her last name
right, but, she must bring the magic with her.

If you are not older than 25, I don't recommend it - you'll have
nightmares.

OOOOOH!!I love Horror movies. Oldies are the best. The shining for sure, The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby are all the best I'd say. The Others and Saw, and Saw II are good newer ones.

i've heard that exorcist the best but didn't get a chance to watch it . So from the movies that i've watched i would rate the most scary movie is "THE RING"-the original and Japanese one and "JU ON :THE GRUDGE"the original and Japanese one. The hollywood has made the remake really su**. the english ones r really fuc****bad. u must watch the Japanese one it's really scary and pleae dont misunterstand the Japanese one cosidering the Englsh ones. The English remakes has fu**** the original's essence. (note:- u'd better buy the dvd with subtitles so that u can understand the movie.) bets of luck and sorry fer the slangs coz when it comes to the english versions i cant control myself.

Exorcist I was great (two sucked). Surprisingly, III and IV were both really good, too (particularly III).

I also like "John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness" and "Angel Heart". Would highly recommend both!

"The Changeling", and the original "Nightmare on Elm Street" not so much for the blood and guts, the suspense and edge of your seat grippers. "Night of the Living Dead" just a classic, saw it when I was 12 and then had to walk home alone in the dark----- I ran the whole way.
