According to my units converter program,
1 gallon = 3.785411784 litres
1 gallon(UK) = 4.546092 litres

To convert GALLON (British) to LITRE, multiply by 4.5460
To convert LITRE to GALLON (U.S), multiply by 0.2642
To convert LITRE to GALLON (British), multiply by 0.2200

one gallon is equal to 3.785 liters.
1 gallon X 3.785 = 3.785 liters
2 gallons X 3.785 = 7.57 litters
