I guess I would. That way I can tell my kids everything I want them to know before I die. I'd tell them to take care of each other and their dad. I would remind them to be the kind of people I would be proud of. I would remind them that I'll always love them and I will always watch over them.

I'd wanna know a week in advance so I could say my goodbyes to all my loved ones, but not any longer than taht else it would just hang ove your head and you would grow apathetic. Life's ridiculously pointless when you realise you're going to die. Even if you try everything new, it won't count for anything. Maybe I'd be a bit of a hero though, saving lives etc, since I knew the date of my death and it wouldn;t alter. Might as well make the most of that... lol could spend my last few weeks in a coma that way though... All depends on HOW I was gonna die, as to what my plan of action would be then. if it looked like I could ahve been comatose up to death I'd probably leave the hero thing - that's not helping anyone and my organs would be useless for harvesting.

I would want to know because I'm an inherently curious person. Also, it would help with my budget. If I knew exactly when I was going to die, I could blow all of my money right before then or take out a really big loan right before. I would also want to cherish every moment with everyone I loved right before I died and tell them how I really feel about them. I could also, before I die, experience everything that I was curious about, including things that may lead to brain damage (e.g. excessive drinking until I black out, bungee jumping, drugs, smoking).

However, the bad part would be the actual knowledge itself. I may brood on the knowledge and obsess over it until I die, letting it control my entire life. Also, the way I was going to die may be very painful. At least I could prepare for it by taking morphine, so the pain would be reduced.

Definitely. Though my usual formula for keeping things in perspective is working on the assumption I have only 6 months to live, that way I lnow what is truly significant in my life.

Hence I have fewer regrets and lesser confusion than most people do. Yet despite living with this mantra I'd like to know when I'd die for then I'd be able to go for all the dare devil stuff that scares the hell out of me without having to worry about the impact it would have on me or others should anything go wrong.

It would be truly liberating to have this knowledge, freedom from fear!!! Also the best part is I'll meet my death head on much more calmly, that is one area of life that I can do without surprise.....

I don't want to know. I want it to come as a complete surprise. It would be too depressing to know how and when I was going to die. I would not be able to cope with that knowledge.
I'm afraid I would change too much from the person I am now. I would never really know if I was only doing something nice because of my impending death, or whether I did something nice out of pure kindness.
If you try to be a good person only because you want your good deed to be counted, you are misled.

That's so tough to answer. I love my life. I'm not rich or popular, but I have wonderful children and love that I woke up for another day. Some people don't live that long.
But, I wonder, if I knew if my time was up soon, that I maybe could right my wrongs, who knows how the afterlife is.
Death is scary, but EVERYONE needs to except it somehow, in their own little way.

The Bible says that no man knoweth the day of his death. This is wisdom because if a person were to know that exact moment of his death in advance, then he would spend all of time fretting over death rather than living his life for Jesus. Eternal life in Christ is far more worthy of consideration than the how, when and where of a person's physical death.

Id say not at all but then if it was soon I'd like to know so I can do things I've always wanted to do and also I would probably try to stop it from happening which as final destination proved - not a good Idea!

I would like to know so that I can make good anything negative I have done and prepare myself for a glorious death so that when I finally slip away I have no regrets and know that I have done all that I can to live a useful life and helped my fellow humans to the best of my ability.

no i wouldn't because life and death should be a surprise and i think that knowing how would scare you more then not knowing at all because then you would know that your life is going to end and some times it may not be very pleasant to see how you are going to die knowing you can't change it
