Don't worry about not knowing something, you can always ask those who know the answer(s) to any of your questions. I was wondering about those words my self untill couple of years ago :)
* Skinny dipping is when you jump into a pool/river/lake/ocean in your nature's outfit (buck-naked) and go out for a swim in the middle of the night while the full moon is shining down on you :) It's a lot of fun and makes you feel like a newborn in a way :)
* Night stand (or, one night stand) is referring to a sexual incounter that's only limited to one night with someone you do/don't know and who's not your current partner. If you're in a relationship, it might/does consider as the act of cheating on the you're with, and something that is not widely accepted by many partners. I'm not recommending to try even once (no matter what's going on in your relationship), because this mistake is not at all easily forgotten (just like any other cheating act) and you might hurt everyone in process--yourself, your current partner, and the person you've been with for one night, because the 3rd person might assume that you care for them too (and when they'll realize that you don't (at least the way they think) you'll hurt them even more). Of course, this point of view depends only on those are involved and those are doing it. However, I would never do it no matter what is going on in my either private life or public life (i.e.: job).

skinny dipping is when you swim in the water (lake, ocean, whatever) naked. A one night stand is when you have sex with someone you have no relationship with, or intention of ever having a relationship. Also known as a booty call.

A one night stand is casual sex with someone you just met, and probably won't meet again.
