There are a whole slew of these things flying in front of the United Nations building in New York.

There are rules of flag etiquette that apply to flying a foreign flag together with an American flag, however. Go look up information on flag etiquette.

Yes it is , however I would like to note that If flying the US flag at the same time the Stars and Stripes should fly above the other flag. I have been corrected Message: The flags of friendly foreign nations MUST be flown at the SAME HEIGHT as the US flag. Each flag should be on poles of the same height. When any flag is flown at half-mast, ALL flags must be flown at half-mast.

Yes, it is perfectly legal.

The response that said it must be flown lower than Old Glory is totally WRONG, however!

The flags of friendly foreign nations MUST be flown at the SAME HEIGHT as the US flag. All national flags should be on poles of the same height. When any flag is flown at half-mast, ALL flags must be flown at half-mast.

Other flags, such as POW/MIA or flags of political subdivisions of nations (US or German states, for example) should be flown LOWER than any national flags. They may be on the same flagstaff as the appropriate national flag.

yes, but it is wrong to fly it on the same level or higher than the U.S. Flag. If you want to fly it highest than you should go to that country.
