Why don't all the Bush and war supporters enter the military? If they stand firm on their beliefs that the president is doing a good job, and the war is just why aren't you in Iraq?

So far I have seen the Conservatives not as brave, and with many excuses for why they are not there. Not so pat on your issues now are you.

I actually agree with you. I say bring back home the troops and lets send George Bush and all his people over there. All the soldiers are doing is fighting for Bush's butt and his people. Let send them all over there so they can fight for Bush and Bush can fight for himself. Bush and his people are chicken to fight for us. I am sorry, but it is the truth. We didn't need this war at all. All Brush is doing is killing are solider and that is wrong of him. May God bless us and all of our troops.

First, I was in the military. I served two tours in the US Marine Corps and saw combat in both afghanistan and iraq. Now, when it comes to Bush, he is doing the exact same thing President Reagan did back in the 80's, he delegates. Something all good leaders do is delegate. I do, however, agree that the people he has appointed as his cabinet members are all a bunch of "yes men". I believe he needs to fire the majority of his cabinet and hire members that are not afraid to tell him what they think should be done and not fully agree with everything Bush says. As for is Bush a good president, think about it, everything he said he would do, he has done. Taxes are lower, jobs are up, country is more safe than it was during Clinton's terms. He handled the 9/11 incident with great character and Iraq was something that needed to be done. If you've never seen what happened over there, I believe you don't have a right to critique what the military does.

i've got an excellent e-mail i could forward u on that....By Rush Limbaugh:

I think the vast differences in compensation between victims of the September 11 casualty and those who die serving our country in Uniform are profound. No one is really talking about it either, because you just don't criticize anything having to do with September 11. Well, I can't let the numbers pass by because it says something really disturbing about the
entitlement mentality of this country. If you lost a family member in the September 11 attack, you're going to get an average of $1,185,000. The range is a minimum guarantee of $250,000, all the way up to $4.7 million.

If you are a surviving family member of an American soldier killed in action, the first check you get is a $6,000 direct death benefit, half of which is taxable.

Next, you get $1,750 for burial costs. If you are the surviving spouse, you get $833 a month until you remarry. And there's a payment of $211 per month for each child under 18. When the child hits 18, those payments come to a screeching halt.

Keep in mind that some of the people who are getting an average of $1.185 million up to $4.7 million are complaining that it's not enough. Their deaths were tragic, but for most, they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Soldiers put themselves in harms way FOR ALL OF US, and they and their families know the dangers.

We also learned over the weekend that some of the victims from the Oklahoma City bombing have started an organization asking for the same deal that the September 11 families are getting. In addition to that, some of the families of those bombed in the embassies are now asking for compensation as well.

You see where this is going, don't you? Folks, this is part and parcel of over 50 years of entitlement politics in this country. It's just really sad. Every time a pay raise comes up for the military, they usually receive next to nothing of a raise. Now the green machine is in combat in the Middle East while their families have to survive on food stamps and live in low-rent housing. Make sense?

However, our own U.S. Congress voted themselves a raise. Many of you don't know that they only have to be in Congress one time to receive a pension that is more than $15,000 per month. And most are now equal to being millionaires plus. They do not receive Social Security on retirement because they didn't have to pay into the system.

If some of the military people stay in for 20 years and get out as an E-7, they may receive a pension of $1,000 per month, and the very people who placed them in harm's way receives a pension of $15,000 per month.

I would like to see our elected officials pick up a weapon and join ranks before they start cutting out benefits and lowering pay for our sons and daughters who have and are now fighting.
"When do we finally do something about this?" If this doesn't seem fair to you, it is time to forward this to as many people as you can.

That's a ridiculous ad hominem. They can't use everybody in the military. If I admire the work that police and firemen do, am I obliged to try to join their ranks?

The issue isn't whether the the supporters are brave enough. The issue is, is this a just war that we should fight.

Re: your gloating updates.

Did you even read my answer?

Do you Understand it?

AD HOMINEM is the fallacy of attacking the opponent, instead of addressing his argument.

Do you see my point, do you see your fallacy?

Are you talking about the Draft Dodger In Chief? He avoided the draft and went AWOL from the National Guard for 18 months. Cheyney got deferred 5 times!! Yet they are perfectly willing to send our troops off to fight and die in a war based on a lie. 10,000 are dead so far and there is no end in sight.

Great question, I mean since so many standing presidents have joined the military while in office.

You are not a solider, you were a solider much like myself.

If you don't like the current politics, why won't you get invloved?

Somebody has to keep America running. Be glad you can voice your opinions in such a way. If you were some countries you could be killed for talking like that. You should be thanking our government and soldiers for giving you the liberty to question them.
