I have found what is called 'mosaic tiles' from the Homer Laughlin Fiesta line on eBay. Unless you are interested in a specific line or color, I would suggest flea markets and garage sales, pick up anything for little money, and break yourself.

You can put the dish into a pillow case, close with a string or rubber band, and then break away with a hammer. Great for stress relief! hahaha Remember to wear your safety glasses, too!

There are tools available to 'cut' or 'slice' the dishes, but the hammer thing works very well.

Good luck!

not sure about online...but my mom got some dishes at either a yard sale or thrift store very cheap....wrapped the dishes one at a time with either a towel or newspaper and then got a hammer and broke them herself...she has a recessed coffee table that she is making a mosaic with the broken dishes to put in the coffeetable top and fill it in with a sealant. but you can get some dishes very cheap at flea markets thrift stores and yard sales that are already broken or missing pieces so it will be cheap...try that route.

i don't think many people will have broken dishes up for auction on ebay. go down to your local thrift store or salvation army and buy cheap dishes to break. invite some friends over and make a day out of it. I used to throw old CDs against walls with my friends.

Why dont you go to garage sales or missions and stuff like that and get it cheap and break them yourself? I dont think too many people are stupid enough to try to sell people broken dishes lol

you'd probably be better off going to a flea market or an antique shop. I don't know if ebay would advertise broken dishes :/

I'd try buying dishes at the thrift store. I've seen really funky ones, pretty ones, tacky ones, and they're usually pretty inexpensive.
