That's not really true, first of all. You'll find plenty of right wing universities these days, and you'll find plenty of faculty at any given university who vote Republican and believe in conservative ideals, socially and fiscally.

But if one determines that there is a preponderance of liberal ideology among university faculty, one could reach the conclusion that people who have spent their lives dedicated to intellectual inquiry have decided that many "liberal" ideas are in fact good ones.

Universities are "controlled" by the educated people of society. So, I guess you're saying liberals are educated and whatever point you were trying to make is moot.

It is because they tend to avoid the real world, where their political ideology has continually failed. They can hide out in colleges to preach their flawed logic and try to use a position of power to wield influence over students. There aren't many places that you can gain "tenure" and not be held accountable for your behavior at work.

..a college setting is for free thinking..open minds..if an open mind means a liberal mind, then what is your argument when the wealthy conservative dollars go to fund colleges..who is truly in control..why is it a disease to be a liberally minded person..i don't get the hate...what do you get out of it...other than a closed mind..conservatives also created separatism...then feed it to us as JUST US..justice.. conservative right.. is always right if it's conservatively white right..

You are so right. All of us conservatives should get together and boycott higher learning in those liberal schools. We can all go to BYU. Damn liberals ruin everything.
