I am brown skinned, probably around queen latifah's complexion and have never worn foundation.

I"m Native American, and pretty dark. It looks "mask-y" on my skin - the tone isn't right, and isn't really dark enough. It sort of looks "chalky" and doesn't blend in well. I'm darker than most Mexican women, but not as dark as Queen Latifah. I'm definitely darker than J-Lo.

I have a friend with the same complexion, one ws too dark and the other too light, and what she had to do was buy both and mix it a little at a time when she used it

I would think that it would, because it is very sheer. I use it and am very fair-skinned and any other foundation makes my complexion look orangey. A little bit goes a long way and gives your skin an airbrushed look.
