How do I know if sports writing is for me?

Theres more to becoming a sports writer then most think. How do I know if sports writing suits me?

Talk to the sports writer at your local paper or TV station about how they got started and how the job is. There is a lot to becoming a writer, period. I wish you the best of luck!

The best thing to do is talk to your local paper and actually try it. One of the things I've learned about life, no matter what you try you always learn from it.
