I turned 18 on May 26th and when I called the bank my name had been taken off the account.

You need an attorney. He'll tell you what kinds of evidence you need. I'd avoid talking about this with the family until after you've talked with the attorney, and he advises you on how to proceed.

Get an attorney. Technically, if you received this CD before age 18 and you were in a parent's custody I believe it is at their discretion on what to do with it, but I believe there is a law regarding how this works that it will be placed in a special account where you will receive full rights to it once you're 18.

I agree about the getting proof and taking it to court - as long as it wasn't spent on some giant medical bill for you or something, or a fantastic private school that you went to...things of that nature.

Did you dad have a will?
Were you named in the will?
Was the CD in BOTH YOUR NAMES?
Call an attorney that deals with FAMILY LAW/WILLS etc.

If they spent it on your care there might not be anything that you can do.
But, in this case, you need legal advice from an attorney who specializes in estate law.

sorry but your name can not be taken off of it.only by the ones who bought it.so did your mom do it.if not get a lawyer and fight it .
