My carrier does not have the phone that I want, well they have the brand just not the color I want
Can I get a phone from another place and have it programmed or something like that?

Okay I want a pink razr and my company only has the ugly grey ones.

Can I order one that isnt programmed from offline or from motroloa and have it programmed to work with whom has my service?

As long as it's compatible with your provider, you can buy your phone anywhere. If it's a different providers' phone, it won't work with your carrier.

For example, if your carrier is Sprint and you buy a phone designed for Cingular, then it wont work on your carrier's network. Sprint doesn't have accessible SIM cards to switch them. Technically speaking, any GSM phone should work with any GSM provider. Same for CDMA phons and providers. Problem is that when they're built, they're programmed at the factory to work with the provider they were built for.

If you buy the phone "unlocked" then it will work on any carrier and work with any sim card. If your company can unlock phones, then it will work.
