Check, It could be stamped on the exhaust manifold or on the intake right on the front from left to right.
What size is the engine?
The distributor rotates clockwise
Inline Six is 1 5 3 6 2 4
V6 would be 1 6 5 4 3 2
V8 would be 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2

if it is not printed on the block go to parts house and buy manual book for jeep.

its cast on the front of the intake manifold, on the drivers side you have cylinders 1357, and on the passenger side is 2468.
the rotor would point to the #1 cylinder at the front of the engine on the drivers side.
