When I tried to uninstall Kaspersky Anti Virus 6.0 , my desktop refuse to uninstall and printed out a message :-
Error 1719 , Window Installer Service could not be accessed.

However when I uninstall another software I have no problem.
Also When I tried system restore get no response

Can some one help me . I wish to uninstall Kaspersky as it
seem to conflice with Norton and AVG I am currently running.

I am using Window XP Professional ,Service Pack 2
Pls help,

I already tried add/remove as well as uninstall using
the uninstall provided by Kaspersky Anti Virus but
they signal the above error as well.
Waht can I do then....andy

You didn't say how you where trying to uninstall. Did you go to Add/Remove? Look in your program files (go to C:Local Driver-open-click on program files and download files) it may be in them. You can also check microsoft.com search error 1719 it explains more and how to install your Windows Installer Service. Also check the Kaspersky website and see if you can find out from them how to uninstall. Good Luck Go to my computer to find your C Driver

The program should have an uninstall program of its own. Try disabling the antivirus program and then going to add/remove programs and uninstall it there. If you still cannot do it, contact their tech support or your windows tech support.

start computer in safe mode and then try to remove it that way good luck
