belly button piercing?

im 15 turning 16 in 5 months. do you think it would be ok if i got my belly button pierced? and also does it hurt alot?

as long as its okay with your parents....oh and doesnt hurt at all i have mine done. the only thing you can feel is the clamps holding you belly. just make sure you clean it a couple of times a day because it will get infected.

As long as it's OK with your parents, then go for it. But if they say no you should wait. From what I hear they use a BIG needle to pierce and it sorta hurts-but I'm not real sure how bad it hurts because I've never got my belly button pierced before.

Hey, it doesn't hurt too much getting it pierced, and the rush of getting a piercing usually outweighs the pains of it. Just make sure you have your parent's permission (I had my Mum come with me for most of my piercings). Don't pay too much attention to those who say "what will it look like when you get old? etc. etc."...piercings ARE NOT permanent, unlike tattoos, and can easily be removed. Additionally, if you take good care of it, when you do chose to remove it there shouldn't be a noticeable scar - so it won't haunt you for the rest of your life. Just remember that body piercing should not be so much about following a trend as such but should be more about personal expression (although given the popularity of piercing nowadays it is hard to describe it as anything but a trend). But anyway, if you do get it done make sure you're certain and don't lie to your parents about it because it isn't wort it - if they want you to wait then just wait (it'll make it all the more worth it when you do get it done!)

belly button piercing? I don't think u should at such an early age...things do change as u get older...even though u can wear it seen or unseen, people tend to judge people that wear certain things, and that can be negative or positive responses. depends on who u ask..my personal oppinion is not to do it. Give ur self a more productive gift...something u know for sure will give u positive responses...

Only if your parents are okay with it. Also check the laws in your state. Some of them prevent any type of body piercing (except ears) before 18 and some require a parental consent b4 18. My nieces all had it done and only the youngest sed it hurt, but that was because they went to deep and hit a nerve. She had to let it heal and have it redone.

i got my bellybutton pierced when i was 15 too, my mom took me :) and i had to wait for like 10 minutes or so, i was scared cause i thought it was going to hurt alot but it was over in like a minute. to give you an idea lets just say it hurts less than menstrual cramps, and for the next few days it's just kinda sore but it's nothing to cry over. and whoever pierces you will most likely tell you about infections and how to avoid them, and if you have any question about it you can ask them. you'll be fine. have fun sporting your new bellyring this summer ;)

my sister has her belly button pierced and so do alot of her friends so if u want to and its ok w/ ur parents sure y not and also she said it didnt hurt alot

Ask yourself, why do you really want a belly button piercing?
Will you still want it when your 50?
How will your parents react?

Anything with a needle is not painless!

well, some people can get a belly button ring and look great. and it doesn't when you get it, the clamo is so tight it numbs your belly button, but just to make sure you can get a numbing shot. afterwards just make sure you keep it clean, if it gets infected then it can really hurt. also make sure when you first get it not to wear really tight shirts, they can kill!

I don't know if it hurts, but I wouldn't. pierced belly bottons make you look as if your a very mean person. Sorry
