It depends on what you use it for. I use it for chatting with friends and keeping in touch with those who have moved off to college. I love it. On the other hand, if a kid uses it inappropriately, it can be very dangerous. It all depends on how you use it and if you protect yourself.

Depends on what you want out of it. I have made a few internet friends. But mostly I do it for the debate groups. I love to argue and give my opinion (imagine that! LOL) and it is fun to see what other people come up with to talk about and share. Just don't b elieve everything everyone sez cause like all internet stuff some people are phonies, and outrite liars. And it can be hard if not impossible to recognize them all.

To quote a previous answer given on the subject... "Most (I'd say about 95-99%) of the people who use myspace are degenerate halfwits (to put it politely)... and the other 1-5% need to use thier 3/4 or whole wit, to find something better to do... I would NEVER let any child of mine use myspace, or any of its clones, it is one giant sea of child predators, and mindless filth... to those who are defending it... GET A LIFE, GO OUT INTO THE REAL WORLD, MEET REAL PEOPLE, AND GET REAL FRIENDS!!!... or you may eventualy get whats coming to you ( http://www.mydeathspace.com/ ).. some may argue, these people deserve every bad thing that happens to them, but I am not that harsh, there are children on that website, and when bad things happen to them, thier parrents deserve that bad thing 10 fold instead!" a self quote from http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Al5TTsYbYGPlo.1DyisiNTjsy6IX?qid=20060611143138AAJlNlI

...So really, I think it's a complete waste of time and if you are not catious about your pesonal information, it is a potentialy very dangerous waste of time. If I want friends, I'll go out and make them (the internet seems to be where I make enemies anyway)... but I supose, if your life revolves around a computer, you never leave your chair, don't bathe, reek of TV diners, and are afraid to go out in public... knock yourself out!

My space is most definitely a hang out for single people.
Married people would get into trouble with their spouse or partner over this type of site. I think it is a meat market.

My wife and I have a mutual agreement not to be associated with this type of garbage.

I think it's just some amateur type of work who created it. I think Yahoo Answers is something more productive!
