Okay, i was a bit unprepared for my eng final project. So i borrowed a friend's mp3 player and promised that i would return it to him at the end of the day(we arent best friends) However, I forgot to give it to him and and i have been feeling very badly this weekend. he values his mp3 than anything else. I still have to borrow the mp3 until the end of tuesday. and i am sure i will see him on monday morning and tuesday morning. what should I do?

The truth always works. You can live with yourself after all the dust settles. Be calm, take a deep breath and when you see him, explain to him what has happened and be sure to let him know how the MP3 has helped you so far. Be prepared to return the unit if he is having a bad morning. I know this might not what you want to hear, but with a little conversation, a lot of thank yous,
letting him know that YOU feel bad about it, and just be honest, you might be surprised what can happen. Also it never hurts to bring a gift to him like cookies,(food always makes things easier),
and/or some kind of thank you present. Good luck! Let me know how it goes!

Avoid phone calls and chances of running into him.....then when you give it back on Wednesday....cut him off by thanking him so much for the MP3 player and how appreciative you are....that he wont have a chance to scold you....just keep smiling...think of something funny to say that happened over the last couple days to take him mind off of it and confuse him......B4 he knows it he will have his MP3 player back and remember just your smile!!!!

Call him and explain. If you don't have his phone number, go to his house and tell him what you need. Have it with you in case the answer is no.

It's very rude to promise to return it and then just keep it. You are likely to lose a friend. Some people value others who keep their word. I hope you will become one of those people.

Just call him and tell him why you need to borrow it for a couple more days. Or you could use a picture.

Ask him if you could borrow it again. If he says no, beg at his feat. Hey it works for me.

well, give it to him! He should value more than his mp3! Apologise!
