I'm just wondering. A male friend of mine failed to tell me that he was a sex offender with a female of 15 yrs old. Eventually, I found out and have not had him around. But my question is, I have 2 daughters ages 3 & 4. Was he able to be around them?

It depends on the "level" of sex offender and the state. If you have concern-contact the local police department or Sheriff's office nearest your daughters.

I would want to know more details.

What were the circumstances. Was he 16 yo and the girl 15? (which to me is poor judgement maybe, but not a child molester, even though the law calls it that in some states)

Or was he 30 yo and the girl 15? That to me is a child molester.

That being said, I would not trust most men alone around your daughters.

Him not telling you does not really mean much, I think most ppl would be ashamed to admit it if they had something like that on their record, regardless of the circumstances; even if they happened to be innocent.

If he really is a child molester, I don't believe they can ever change.

I think it depends on the type of sex offender. Not all of them are pedophiles. Of course the pedo's can't hang around parks and schools, and are supposed to be registered.
