HPV is very common (80% of females have it). No you don't need a hysterectomy. It can go away itself. You just need to get checked out to make sure that the HPV doesn't cause cervical cancer. The warts are on the inside, they are white growths around the cervix

HPV is an abbreviation for human papilloma virus. Some people have warts; some don't. But that doesn't mean that the people who don't have warts are free of the virus. You get it; you have it for life; you can pass it onto others. A hysterectomy is not a cure. However, if you haven't talked with your doctor, you need to. He/she can provide more information than you can get on this answer/question forum. Also, they can answer any questions that may come to mind. I don't know why you think you need a hysterectomy for HPV or who told you so or why. I suggest you make an appointment with your health care provider and seek the correct answers you need to protect yourself and others, as people with HPV have an increased risk of some types of cancers dealing with the urogenital areas.

Isn't this something you should be asking your ob/gyn. Why would you need a hysterectomy? Some strains of HPV do not show outward signs of warts. You are at an increased risk for cervical cancer because of the HPV diagnosis. However, if you work with you ob/gyn and diligently monitor your condition through pap smears the pre-cancerous cells can be dealt with before developing into cancer.

Cervical cancer is highly preventable.

HPV is the virus that can cause cervical cancer, but not always. You should get regular pap smears, and keep a check on it.
Also, there is a type of hpv that don't cause genital herpes, you won't even know you have it unless a dr. tells you. It doesn't mean you need a hysterectomy.

Your doctor will have the best advice for you. Remember, although some strains of HPV cause cancer, not all do. If you don't have cancerous cells, you're okay for now, at least. Just ask your doctor if there are any preventative measures you could take, and continue to have regular paps so that they can detect any problems as early as possible.
