Looking for a good (adult) read for my beach vacation?

I just read Memoirs of a Geisha and I LOVED it. I flew through that book. Also, "A Painted House" by john grisham, or "Lovely Bones". I forget who wrote that.

Lancaster probes into our fears, shortcomings, and the evil nature of mankind. He also demonstrates the impact of a kind neighbor or friendly stranger. The journey is life. The life is journey.
