What "mistakes" are you glad you made?

Got totally wasted one night.Got really drunk,stoned,popped a couple xanax.Wrecked my car.Got in 2 fights made a COMPLETE jackass out of myself.I was 36 years old and my mommy and daddy had to come get me because i was so drunk and my wife was scared to death i was going to die in a car wreck.And boy howdy did I ever lay into them!!!

Why am i glad I made this mistake?The next day I went to my 1st meeting of narcotics anonymous.Eighteen months later....I am still 100 percent clean and sober.I have a life now.I have hope now.I know what love is worth now.If I hadn't totally gotten f'd up that night I might still be getting 80 Percent of the way there today I might be dead.Thank God for one of the most shameful nights of my life!!!

Going home with my current boyfriend after knowing him less than 2 hours. NO! We actually didn't get in bed, stayed up all night and talked.We've been together ever since. He works his butt off, is great with my kids, made it possible for us to move to a better neighborhood-and he puts up with me!-he's the best. I would have told anyone else they were making a huge mistake, I wondered if I was, but almost a year later, it just keeps getting better.

date the worst guy who cannot dedicate at least a couple of hours to us. he was so busy with his own fantasy world (role playing, Pokemon, yu gi oh cards) and work that he forgot that there is a real world out there waiting for him to join in. I decided not to wait for him any longer. I cannot wait for my partner forever to help build the relationship up.
