I am not a really big fan of his at all but I kept hearing this song called "The Real Thing" on the radio and really liked it before I ever knew who was singing it.

It's a typical first post-Idol single, written by a focus group committee in order to ensure maximum media saturation. It has zero artistic merit and is a soulless piece of rubbish not even worthy of a second rate "rocker" like Bice.
I cringe at the thought of Katharine McPhee being reduced to recording such nauseating drivel.
