I'm still in highschool and i love cars, i want to be an automotive engineer and design cars/engines for Dodge/Chrysler but i don't know what the profession is called. I know there are several different types of careers involving cars so i need guidance so i know what i'm shooting for.

The educational track (and job title) you're looking for is "mechanical engineer." Automotive engineering is a subspecialty within mechanical engineering. Check out the website I've pasted below for some very good basic information on mechanical engineering, and its current use of nanotechnology.

CAD (computer assisted drafting) is a basic tool in mechanical engineering, so learning it early would be a great first step for you!

You definitely need to look into Mechanical engineering. That is the field that will get you into the automotive design field. From there, you will need to specialize in automotive design by continuing with a Master's degree.
