That is just a matter of opinion on your doctors part. Some say you can, some say you can't. My high risk pregnancy doctor said I could as long as you had enough ventilation as to not breathe in too many fumes (try opening a window) or use those that don't have many fumes. I liked garnier nutrise for this since it smelled more like fruit. I dyed and my baby is just fine and almost a year old. Ask your doctor what his/her opinion is. If you are too worried than just don't do it -or try to do it as little often as possible.

Ok, not only is it bad for you to breathe in the chemicals and etc. BUT you might not get the hair color that you were wanting. Women have a lot of horomones going through them during pregnancy, and sometimes it can cause chemicals such as hair dye to do odd things. For example: if you are wanting red hair, you might end up with bright orange hair... Or pink hair... Just wait it out until after you deliver your baby... then do whatever you want to your hair. You have to think for the both of you!!!!

Let me tell you something. I had dyed my hair when I was pregnant and it didn't stay, it all washed out. Not only that but if you get a dye with fumes you will end up getting sick. So I would just stay away from it now. I wouldn't suggest getting it done now. Wait until after you have your child.

I would not do it... you breathe in fumes and that might hurt the baby. If you do decide to, I'd wear like the masks that the doctors wear.. You can get them a CVS I think.

although chances are not that high of the baby being hurt by it (though there is still a chance), with your hormones being out of whack thanks to prenancy, your hair will probably not do whatever it is you want it to.
e.g. if you are trying to dye it blonde it could end up red or green.
You just don't know how your body will react.

You shouldn't die your hair when you are pregnant. There havent been any causes harmul found to be baby, yet, in case studies. Most doctors reccommend that you do not die your hair in pregnancy, though.

My OB said it was OK after the first trimester, but every doctor has different rules and you want to follow your doctor's.

Do not do it, wait until after your pregnancy. It can really hurt the baby.
