I also have a sunburst Fender Stratocaster. It looks a lot like yours and it also has a maple neck. The neck is scalloped all the way down the neck due to extensive soloing and jamming along with records. I got it in 1973 for $85. Its also slightly beat up but I've had it over 30 years.

1) I have a fender acoustic that doesn't sound too great.

2) A Red Yamaha Pacifica Electric that is in good shape.

3) And an Olympic White Jimmie Vaughan Tex-Mex Stratocaster that i just got a couple of months ago. It's is freakin' awesome. I couldn't live without it.

Just like myself , my main guitar should not be seen by anyone on the net - it leads people to assume, but i will tell ya it's been beat , scratched , chipped , and disfigured. Also cause of habit and little idiosyncrasies (sp?) I AM the only one who can play it in tune. Ex: one time i let Slick Avelar (guitarist for STARSHIP) play it once at a club - he did one song and handed it back to me saying "How the f%#k do you keep this in tune??!!" , anyway.....
