You'll never get peace and rest once they are born...so might as well get them now.

Because of exertion can trigger labor. The more babies you are carrying the more of a chance you can go into labor too soon. Keep in mind; women are encouraged to WALK during labor to speed up the process. Also, being dehydrated will cause you to go into labor so make sure you drink plenty of water! You body is under a lot of stress. You are breathing and eating for 4 people now. It takes a lot out of a woman who is only supporting 1 other person -so try to imagine what your body is going through. It needs rest because it is working triple times harder than usual.
Try to look at it this way, what happens if you push or drive your car too hard? It will break, yes? Your body is not different. If your body feels threatened the only way it has to protects itself is to "get rid of" the babies. That is how you can go into labor too early. Try to avoid stress and relax. You should also be seen by a perinatal doctor (high risk pregnancy doctor) to ensure you get the proper care! I did not have triplets or even twins -but I did have high risk pregnancies and unfortunately have experienced first hand how important it is to have a high risk doctor because they are far superior and far more trained and knowledgeable for your condition. You also might want to consider a hospital that has a NICU just in case. I know how heart breaking it can be if your baby is born early and has to be transported to another hospital. Having a NICU at your place of delivery will encourage that you and your babies will get exactly what you need right away no matter what, and you won’t have to be separated! You can’t go leave the hospital to go visit your babies if they are in another hospital.
Good luck and try not to worry so much. I know what I said could make you worry, but you shouldn't. As long as you follow your doctor's advice you should be just fine. Congratulations!!!

Well, you will likely know what they are talking about as you progress in your pregnancy. Being pregnant with ONE is tiring, especially when you get so big you look like you have a basketball under your shirt, so being pregnant with three will probably be especially tiring.
As far as exercise stimulating labor, this is true in any sense but in a normal pregnancy is usually only a concern later on in the pregnancy. Women are encouraged to exercise but not to overdo it - walking and swimming are the best options. I'm not sure exactly what it is about vigorous exercise that can kick you into labor but it happens, time and time again. Your doctor may end up telling you flat out later on in pregnancy to make sure you take it easy but trust me - you're going to want to no matter what because being very very pregnant is very very tiring (and so is being a mom).
I hope that helps. I think it's great that you are trying to inform yourself - you're doing yourself and your babies lots of favours!

People having twins or triplets need to rest because they are likely to be small to start with, so you wouldn't want to go in early labor.

Well you should get as much rest as possible being pregnant anyhow but I am guessing she wants you to be aware that in multiple births it is easy to miscarry or bring on labor early. Some women spend the last month or so on bed rest only. So just take it easy and stay healthy for yourself and your unborn babies.

well with triplets yes you do need more rest than with only only b/c you are using and they are taking more energy from you that would be with only one. it is a possibility that you could go early if you dont get the right amount of rest but it is that way with all pregnancies.

If your pregnant with triplets, you'd better get alot of rest now, because when the little ones are born, you won't be getting much. Congratulations!!

I'm pregnant with just one and I need all the rest I can get just to function.
Don't you want to rest a lot anyhow with those babies wearing your body out?
If it is worrying you so much, talk to your doctor, they can tell you best, not some random person.

The more babies you're carrying, the higher the risk for going into premature labor. Getting off your feet eases the stress on your body and makes it more likely you'll carry to term and have healthier babies.

it's probably due to the fact that being the home of three baby's rather than one puts allot more strain on your body, and its going to be very tire some, congrats by the way, but you need as much rest as possible, multiple births, are allot higher risk of spontaneous abortion. so keep yourself well rested, and light exercises when you can!!!!
