I'm fourteen and I have been dancing since I was eight years old. I know eight is a young age, and I am pretty good at dancng, but it seems like every other good dancer has been dancing longer then. Do you think you have to start when your like two or three or four do be a pro? Please help! Thanks!

No no no just because you don't start when your 2 doesn't mean you can't be as good as someone who has. I'm 13 and I start dance in a little over week for the first time(yippee) I know that most of the people there will have danced much longer then me but thats okay because I love dancing so it doesn't matter if I'm THE best or not. As long as I do MY best. And it's the same for you. Just try your hardest and everything else should go smoothly. If you need more help email me dancingqueenkv@yahoo.com
Good Luck

Honey, don't be bitter. At least you started young (at 8), while the others are starting at their teenage years. It's never too late, it's your passion that counts. Maybe your just too conscious about it. You're doing good and your goal now is to beat yourself (your records at your class) or learn a whole new different dance like hip hop, ballroom dancing even cheer dancing. You should be versatile, that's an edge. Personally, I dance all except cheer dancing I didn't have an opportunity then. Be contented, enjoy and challenge yourself more. Hope I did help. You have a great advantage over the dancer whose parents made him or her go to dance classes at age 3. Because you WANTED to dance and still do.
I started late too. But dance is a passion - anyone who has the HEART can do it. We're not all built the same way and we don't all have the same capabilities. All I can say is, maximize whatever abilities God has given you, but know that starting late is no disadvantage at all for a passionate dancer with plenty of heart.

DEFINITELY NOT!!!!! Eight is a pretty Young age too!!! I started when i was 10, I'm now 14 and I am now a national ballet dancer. Why do you feel that way? I really need more info to answer properly.
REASONS
-Every body has more experience.
-Everybody else has started young.
-You don't have certain flexibilitys that are usually devolped young.
-You just randomly thought that.
ANSWERS
-Practice more!!!
-Get over it!!!
-Go back to the basics(Simple bar exersizes and small stretches, so on, so on) at least twice a week at home to work on small things.
-Get that random thought out if your head.

it doesn;t matter when you start however training is needed to be a pro. My daughter started when she was 2 she is 7 now and i have seen girls who started just a year ago who are very good.Be starong be passionate some people dance just to dance others do it from there heart. The ones with heart are the ones who will amaze.

No, you can become an expert dancer at any age. I didn't start strict ballroom until I was 53, and I became an championship dancer quickly. I will admit I danced well in my teenage years and had no trouble picking up ballroom. It depends on how much you are willing to put into it, like anything else.

I started this year... I was 14 when I started. I have a solo already. The amount of time you've been in there doesn't matter. Do you really think a bunch of 2 year olds were learning importtant stuff you'll never know?

You could of started ealier! Maybe you just didn't know. Also just because someone has been dancing longer doesn't mean they dance better.
