Please upload the regulations on obligations of wireless internet security for guests at hotel in the States.
And any measures for the security should be taken by hotel.

The hotel I work at has a secure connection but I know alot of hotels don't. As far as I am aware, there are not any federal regulations on wireless internet in hotels. The only regulations there could possibly be on it would be by the franchise--you would need to contact the particular corporate headquarters to find out their policies.

There really aren't any measures I am aware of. When I use a hotel connection I log in as an unpriveledged user on my computer. At least an intruder won't be able to install something that way. Make sure your personal firewall is on!

your only protections are what the hotel's isp provides. I carry a personal wifi router, that allows me to route the hotels address to a private 192.168 number
