In the spring of 1973, Rory Emerald was fresh off of critical acclaim for his role as the “Headless Mime” in the much praised film “The French Connection”. He was approached by the producers of the upcoming movie “the Exorcist” and offered a small role in the landmark film. The role of “Pee Wee” was unfilled at the time, and Mr. Emerald was deemed perfect for that spot in the movie. Later, the screenplay was rewritten, phasing the Pee Wee character out. He was then offered another role, as a psychiatrist that treats the main character, Regan, and then is sodomized numerous times by Satan. This psychiatrist was removed from the screenplay. Subsequently, Mr. Emerald was offered the role of the voice of Satan, and production began. From the onset, problems surfaced. Rory Emerald was egotistical and demanded his own private jet to fly him back and forth between Washington DC and Los Angeles. He then requested “alone time” with Linda Blair’s pet poodle, Guinevere. The final straw in his relationship with the movie was his insistence that Ellen Burnstyn be replaced in her role as Linda Blair’s mother with Harvey Lembeck. He was finally removed from the filmmaking of “the Exorcist”. In fact, widespread rumors have it that his infamous streaking incident during the 1974 Academy Awards was to snub the producers of that masterpiece horror film.

This movie is sooo scary! I watched it like 3 years ago, and I still have nightmares! Linda Blair and Mercedes McCambridge were in the film. Sadly, Rory Emerald wasn't in the film. "The Exorcist" is about a young girl (Linda Blair) who gets possessed by a demon. This movie is freaky. DO NOT WATCH IT!! I am like you, scary movies creep me out (except "The Omen"-Not scary), and this movie will scare you!! Although, it quite hard to believe that you haven't seen this movies, because just about everyone on the planet has seen it.

Linda Blair was the little girl in the movie. Mercedes McCambridge supplied the voice, since Linda was a little girl and they didn't think it would be appropriate for her to be saying some of the things that came out of her mouth.
Sorry, I don't even know who Rory Emerald is, so I can't tell you if he's in it, or not.
The movie was very disturbing. If you're easily spooked, I don't know if it would be wise for you to see this show. It bothered a lot of people when it came out. Especially the very religious.
A lot of people even passed out during the film, unable to handle the blasphemy that obviously was being portrayed in a movie such as this.
