No it is not if it used to enhance a person's beauty! If they use it to paint a face on or over do it like with eye make-up then MAYBE you can say that is deception in a stretched out way. However most women use to enhance and not cover up what is there.

No, it's enhancement. While it can cover up blemishes and make features appear to be larger, smaller, or different shapes, it's just enhancement. Unless, of course, someone looks completely different without it or like Tammy Faye Bakker. In this case, you will learn that the wearer is insecure.

Of course not! I always thought that, but it's not true. Make up just helps your looks. I mean, I suppose if you put on like pounds of make up that's a little much, but a little cover-up and eyeliner isn't lying to anyone. I don't think hiding a zit or making yourself feel pretty is a sin, is it?

Make up should be to enhance what you already have. I guess it can be for some people. Iv'e seen where girls look completely different when they take their make up off (yikes----it can be scary sometimes) but others look almost the same. It just depends on what, and how much they put on.

in a way - but so is telling jokes you didn't write, passing on stories you didn't live, or pretending to be someone your are not. Make-up accentuates the positive and helps create a dramatic persona for fun.

I think it depends on how it's used.
pancake powder on your face = deception
little bit of color on the lips = not so much deception
Of course I don't wear make up, but not because I think it's dishonest.
